Bustle goes husky and sexy

Fall 2008 would really be something to look forward to when it comes to men fashion. And seeing Butle’s Fall 2008 Collection at the L’Oreal Toronto Fashion Week, it’s obviously a time for husky and sexy fashion statements for the men.

Gone were the days when men are just stuck to the typical coat and tie. In this time of fashion evolution, men’s fashion takes into hunky and rugged twists. And surely, Bustle has one great way of combining the words rugged and glam to represent men’s fashion.

I absolutely like the clip in the middle for it’s definitely sexy in a very fashionable way. Well, it could be just the model, too. But heck, who wouldn’t want this sexy fashion statement?

So step over women, ‘coz the men are taking the limelight in the runway.

Evan Biddell’s mix of sugar and spice collection

Project Runway Canada winner, Evan Biddell proudly showcased his Fall 2008 Collection at the L’Oreal Toronto Fashion Week yesterday.

His collection, showing his versatility as a designer featured frocks that revealed both his classy and experimental personalities. There were really fabulous designs like the second clip just below the first. But there were also those that are kind of weird like the last clip in the photo. It’s really weird I can’t imagine someone wearing it in an event.

Anyway, I guess that’s just how artists think. There weirdness sure took them to where they are now. just like Evan Biddell.

Bright-colored tights takes the limelight for preloved Fall 2008 Collection

Step back leggings! And say hello to vibrant tights!

Showcasing preloved’s Fall 2008 Collection at the L’Oreal Toronto Fashion Week in Canada, the fashion line obviously made use of bright colored tights to set the trends for this fall. In bright blue, ravishing red, sunlight yellow, and ultra violet, the coming season will sure be a parade of colors.

If tights would be so in this fall, then what would happen to Lindsay Lohan who’s actually planning to come up with her line of leggings?!

Don’t worry Lind’s I’d actually still go for leggings over tights as I don’t think I have the guts and confidence to wear these eye-catchy tights.

People Re-View: Lauren Conrad

Since my latest post on Celebrity Fashion Watch featured the feud between two of The Hills stars, Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag, I thought of bringing in to spotlight one these two young and sexy new fashion designers. I’m sorry Heidi, but today is Lauren Conrad’s day here in Fashion Re-View.

Born on February 1, 1986 in Laguna Beach, California, Lauren Katherine Conrad also referred as L.C. is an American reality TV personality and fashion designer.

Lauren along with seven other Laguna Beach teens rose to fame when MTV followed her personal life through the reality TV series, Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County.

In the fall of 2004, she entered Academy of Art University where she met Heidi Montag. The two immediately became friends, what went wrong is a big mystery that only these two can answer. Lauren only stayed at the university for one semester. She left San Francisco then transferred to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.

In 2005 with Lauren still pursuing her studies and stated internship at Teen Vogue, the 22-year-old star began filming MTV’s new reality series, The Hills.

With an intense interest in fashion design since she was still young, Lauren pursued that dream despite the hectic schedule of being a star. And finally, in March 11, 2008, at the Mercedes-Benz L.A. Fashion Week, Lauren launched her own fashion line featuring her chic and glamorous designs.

Days after that, her then-friend Heidi Montag also released her own fashion line.

At a tender age, LC sure has proven a lot to herself already. She should be someone girls of her age (like me) should look up to.

Taking a Break

Fashion, beauty, shopping, trends, I don’t think I’ll ever get tired writing about this stuff. It’s so funny that it seems like I’ve been so hooked to blogging about these subjects that once I seriously considered broadening my horizons by enrolling to a fashion school. I’ve come to a point where I don’t want to just write about it, I want to be in the action; making fabulous frocks, designing creative gowns, applying make-up, cut hair fashionably. I’m actually smiling with the thought right now.

However, being so enthusiastic with fashion doesn’t mean that I can’t give myself a break anymore. Once in a while I turn to online slots to do away even for a little while to fashion. But well, I don’t just play the game just for the heck of it. Like a true blue fashionista, I read reviews and decide where play. After all, everybody deserves nothing but the best.

I would sure need information like progressive slots or how the odds are created to help me with my game. I may be a having a break on fashion, but I make sure that don’t do away with it much; playing with grace and wit. Yeah, a typical fashionista.

A Pleather Story

Yesterday on my Celebrity Fashion Watch blog I wrote about PETA’s latest ad campaign, Pleather Yourself. The ad featured former porn star Jenna Jameson clad in seductive pleather underwear.

So what is pleather and why is it better than leather?

Plastic leather, pleather for short, is a slang term for synthetic leather made out of plastic. It is usually used as a cheap substitute for leather which we know costs so much, not to mention causing various lives of animals.

Aside from being inexpensive, pleather may also be better than leather because of its lighter weight. And because it is made of plastic, it will not decompose as quickly. Talk about durability, right?!

If you are planning to get pleather for yourself, you must also know that not all pleathers are the same. Those made from Polyurethane is washable, can be dry-cleaned while allowing some air to flow through the garment. On the other hand, those made from PVC (Polyvinyl chloride) is the opposite.

So, are you ready to ‘pleather yourself’?

Summer is so fast approaching here in the Philippines. And although the weather may not be that good outside, I believe this is still the best time for one to plan for a summer fashion bonanza.
